Apart from F, who's blatantly obvious, what makes all these guys hipsters? Glasses? Facial hair? ...?
ReplyDeleteMostly I think hipsters are the type of people who look like they're trying really hard to be original but then always somehow look the same. They're usually in creative professions, they're into music no one has ever heard of, they wear clothing 'ironically', etc.

Just wanted to say that your blog has become a wonderful part of my daily routine. While Declan sleeps on my shoulder I read all about your dating adventures and mishaps. I can often relate to your dating woes and remember my own mishaps fondly.
Having read a few posts now, I have a couple of things to contribute (hope that's okay).
I too dove into the icy waters of plenty of fish. In fact, that's how Bryan and i met. So, don't turn your back on the site so quickly. You may just meet your mr. right.
I recently read your post about being concerned about what you order/eat while on a date. I have to say that I think you should absolutely be true to yourself and your desires. Don't try to be someone you're not. You want to be loved for who you are.
I am a total pig. I love to eat, and Bryan loves it too. It always makes him smile when I pig out on something. He will look at me fondly and say "I love you" as I eat a giant bowl of ice cream. He's also the guy who, on his way home from the bar at 3 am, would make an extra stop with his cab to pick me up an order of McDonald's fries, because that's all i wanted to eat while i was pregnant.
I'll bet that you'll connect better with someone if you order the steak and potatoes that you truly crave than if you order the skimpy bowl of greens.
Be proud of who you are and hold on tight to the things that make you YOU, because YOU are amazing!
